A global sporting event with fine lager, weather to match, and not a single Englishman throwing white plastic garden furniture; Rouleur decamped to Innsbruck for the week of the World Championships and took over a bar in the centre of town with Festka bikes and apparel brand, BrilliBrilliant/Unicorn (or BBUC for short).
We, like you, are cycling fans. Remco Evenepoel added double World Road and TT champion to his European and Belgium road and TT doubles. Olympic champ Anna van der Breggen added the rainbow stripes to her livery and whoever backed Valverde for the win will still be buying the drinks in Yorkshire next September.
Everyone knows these stories by now, but one tale we haven’t told yet is the collaboration bike and kit between Czech bike manufacturers, Festka and BBUC. The collection is made up of a custom painted Festka Scalatore frameset and two jersey and bib sets from BBUC all influenced by the World Championships.

The frame is painted glossy blue with red (a tribute to the Czech flag), pink and matt olive grey and tagged with “BBUC for Festka 2019” and “BBUC certified, disco approved”, alongside both the brands’ logos. The same detailing is echoed on the kit.
Innsbruck, you were the perfect host, a credit to cycling, and Yorkshire, you have some big old schützenschuh to fill next year. But you do know how to make a proper brew.
