Cookies Policy

Last updated:

We use cookies and similar technologies on Rouleur. This policy explains what they do, what choices you have, and how to change your mind.

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit. Cookies let a site remember things about your visit — such as your sign-in session or your privacy choices — and can help us understand how the site is used. “First-party” cookies are set by Rouleur; “third-party” cookies are set by another service we use.

Your choices

When you first visit Rouleur, a consent banner asks you to accept or reject cookies in three categories: necessary, analytics, and marketing. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the site to work and are always set. They do not need your consent.

Analytics cookies

These cookies are only set if you accept analytics.

Analytics cookies
NamePurposeDurationType
_gaDistinguishes users for Google Analytics2 yearsThird-party (Google)
_ga_<measurement_id>Persists session state for Google Analytics 42 yearsThird-party (Google)

If you reject analytics, Google Analytics still receives cookieless pings under Google’s Consent Mode v2 — these don’t identify you and don’t set cookies.

Marketing cookies

Rouleur does not currently use marketing cookies (advertising or retargeting). If we add any in future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested before they are set.

Plausible analytics

We use Plausible Analytics as a privacy-respecting alternative measurement tool. Plausible sets no cookies and stores no personal data — it counts page views in aggregate. Plausible runs for all visitors regardless of your consent choices.

Third-party services

  • Google Tag Manager — deploys our tags in a consent-aware way, so analytics tags only fire when you have accepted analytics.
  • Google Analytics — measures how the site is used (see the analytics cookies above).
  • Plausible — cookieless, aggregate page-view measurement.

Other services we use process your data but do not set cookies on this site; they are covered in our privacy policy.

Changing your choices

To review or change your cookie choices at any time, click Cookie preferences in the footer of any page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
