Stars of the show in 2024

Kasia Niewiadoma

The newly crowned Tour de France Femmes champion, Kasia Niewiadoma is one of the best all-rounders in the peloton, able to compete across both the Spring Classics and the Grand Tours. She took a thrilling win at La Flèche Wallonne earlier this year to add to her Ardennes palmarès having already won the Amstel Gold Race in 2019.

Greg LeMond

Regarded as one of the greatest riders in history, Greg LeMond was arguably the best of his generation. At 22 years old, he became one of the youngest riders to ever win the World Championships. He then developed into a Grand Tour contender and in 1986, tamed ‘The Badger’ by beating Bernard Hinault to win his first Tour de France.

Lachan Morton

Having spent close to a decade of his career as a WorldTour pro, Lachlan Morton has always liked to do things a little differently compared to other professional cyclists. From his ultra-endurance feats and Everesting records to becoming a top gravel rider and winning Unbound Gravel earlier this year, the Australian rider never shies away from a challenge.

Tom Pidcock

Tom Pidcock is the ultimate multi-discipline rider. The young Brit is a double Olympic gold medallist in mountain biking and a former cyclo-cross world champion. On the road, he is a proven one-day racer with wins at Strade Bianche and the Amstel Gold Race. The defining moment of his career so far came at the 2022 Tour de France when he launched a daring attack on the descent of the Col du Galibier before climbing to victory on Alpe d’Huez.

Luke Rowe

From cobbled Classics contender to Grand Tour road captain, Luke Rowe has been a key figure at the Ineos Grenadiers team for the last decade. His attitude and leadership made him one of the most reliable domestiques in the peloton and he was instrumental in guiding the likes of Chris Froome, Egan Bernal and his Welsh compatriot Geraint Thomas to victory at the Tour de France.

Lizzie Deignan

A modern-day legend of British cycling, Lizzie has been at the top of the sport for more than a decade, after she emerged as the successor to the likes of Nicole Cooke and Emma Pooley, with a silver medal in the Olympic Games road race at London 2012.

Alejandro Valverde

One of Spain’s greatest ever cyclists and one of the most prolific winners in the sport’s history. In a career spanning 20 years, Valverde amassed more than 130 wins including a Grand Tour victory at the Vuelta a España, the World Championships road race, and a record five victories at Flèche Wallonne.

Ashleigh Moolman Pasio

Ashleigh has been one of the most respected riders of the women’s peloton for more than a decade. A supreme climber, she’s twice finished second at the Giro d’Italia and won the inaugural Tour de Romandie in 2022. Undoubtedly one of the greatest cyclists South Africa has ever produced, she is a multi-time national and continental champion in both road race and time trial.

Fabio Aru

Fabio enjoyed a meteoric rise after turning professional in 2012, becoming one of Italy’s most exciting Grand Tour prospects. At the height of his powers, Aru won the Vuelta a España in 2015, having also stood on the podium twice at his home Grand Tour, the Giro d’Italia. A stage winner in all three Grand Tours, Aru also spent a season wearing the tricolore after winning the Italian national road race in 2017.
