INTRODUCTION
Embark on the ultimate Italian and Swiss Alps Tour, commencing and culminating in the charming town of Chiavenna at the foot of Passo Dello Spluga. This 400km loop promises awe-inspiring landscapes, including iconic locations like St. Moritz, Stelvio Pass, Maloja Pass, Bernina Pass, and Albula Pass. Over the course of four days, your journey unfolds with captivating stops in Filisur, Santa Maria, San Carlo, and a triumphant return to Chiavenna, immersing you in the majesty of the Swiss and Italian high Alps. It's an absolute bucket-list event.
STAGES
Stage 1 - Chiavenna to Filisur (87.6km, 2650m climbing)
Embark on your alpine odyssey, commencing in Chiavenna, where you'll ascend the majestic Passo Dello Spluga. Traverse winding mountain roads, passing through charming villages, before arriving at the picturesque destination of Filisur.
Stage 2 - Filisur to Santa Maria (85.7km, 2430m climbing)
Day two presents new enchanting landscapes and challenges as you conquer two peaks soaring above 2000 meters. Cycle through serene forests, tackle the iconic Albulapass followed by the Ofenpass, and explore quaint villages on your route to the charming town of Santa Maria.
Stage 3 - Santa Maria to San Carlo (87.1km, 3010m climbing)
On day three, brace yourself for a thrilling journey through the high Alps. Conquer the legendary Stelvio Pass and most of the Passo del Foscagno climbs, relishing the drama of mountain passes and panoramic vistas as you ride from Santa Maria to San Carlo.
Stage 4 - Journey's End: San Carlo to Chiavenna (105km, 1240m climbing)
The epic final day unfolds with the conquest of five peaks exceeding 2000 meters: Passo Del Foscagno, Passo Eira, Passo Forcola di Livigno, Bernina Pass, and Maloja Pass. As you descend from these lofty heights and meander through the valley, you'll ultimately return to your starting point in Chiavenna, completing this unforgettable adventure.
