Passage du Tour Issue 17.4 Cover Print

Out of stock

For 20 years Roger Blachon’s droll and colourful cartoons graced the pages of L’Equipe’s weekend magazine. From the 1980s until the early 2000s his perceptive wit and keen sense of the ridiculous unpicked the paradoxical, idiosyncratic world of cycling; and nothing escaped his penetrating gaze.

Chosen for the cover of Rouleur Issue 17.4, this fabulous depiction of picnicking spectators observing the Tour de France as a frenetic blur of colour is now available as a limited-edition print.

Roger Blachon was a French illustrator and draftsman. He started out as an art teacher before his lengthy collaboration with L'Equipe began in the late 1960s. He was a passionate sportsman, and played rugby for French team PUC in Paris.

This Lambda photographic print fits a standard A3 frame. Each limited-edition print has been individually hand-numbered.
