Ernesto Colnago’s plans, Peter Sagan’s disappointment and a memorable Strade Bianche

Paolo’s wonderful work has adorned the pages of Rouleur since his magazine debut way back in issue 27, and it was the kind of feature he loves to shoot – steel framebuilder Tiziano Zullo at work in his Lake Garda atelier.

He’s been a Rouleur regular ever since, our ‘go to’ man for Italian subject matter, covering the major races alongside work on Marco Pantani, Campagnolo, and a host of artisan bike builders with great stories and tradition to share with our readers.

This year has seen Paolo capture a treasure trove of Gios memorabilia, the great Ernesto Colnago, Strade Bianche and Milan-Sanremo. Here are his favourites.

Colnago
“Enzo Ferrari was a genius. He always told his engineers: ‘Remember that the bicycle is the perfect machine.'” Ernesto Colnago
