Renowned for its high-end components, precision engineering and commitment to innovation that has continued to push the boundaries, Campagnolo is a brand that has become deeply ingrained in the world of cycling since its inception almost 90 years ago. The Italian manufacturer also sponsors and provides its components to a team in the WorldTour – AG2R Citroën – something it has utilised in understanding what equipment it takes to ride at the pinnacle of the sport.

Working in collaboration with the team’s riders and Campagnolo’s innovators and lab experts, the Italian manufacturer launched its race-ready, fully-carbon Hyperon Ultra wheelset earlier this year. The new top-of-the-range wheelset was said to blend together a renewed mix of cutting-edge features and technology and has gone on to inspire its latest release – the Hyperon wheelset.

Campagnolo’s Hyperon wheelset is again fully carbon, ultra-lightweight at 1,340g, and high-performing, and is said to be designed for the most refined and demanding cyclists. The rims have been moulded using state-of-the-art handmade ultra-light carbon (H.U.L.C) processing, exclusively utilised by the Italian manufacturer, in order to attain optimal alignment and the ideal ratio of carbon fibre to resin to ensure stiffness and durability, according to Campagnolo.

The new wheelset also includes Campagnolo’s single-joint construction that is said to reduce weakness while making the rim extremely stiff and fast responding to the terrain, transmitting pedal power and efficiency to the ground. The wheelset’s stiffness is said to also be supported by the asymmetric rim profile, which helps with total tension management while also maximising safety and handling.

And because Campagnolo understands that looks are just as important as technology, the new Hyperon wheelset is finished with its mirror-like C-LUX finish for a more premium, flawlessly sleek look. The Italian manufacturer said this is achieved by only using one material for the wheels, saving on weight for those marginal gains. The C-LUX finish is said to also help with ensuring the safest possible seating of tubeless tyres, easing installation and uninstallation, as well as reducing the risk of abrasions to the bead. The Hyperon wheelset’s inner width is 21mm, and the rim profile is 37mm, making the wheels adaptable and premium-looking on any bike. Now available at Campagnolo for €2,690, Campagnolo's new Hyperon wheelset embodies the brand's legacy of performance and aesthetics.

The new Hyperon wheelset adds to Campagnolo’s top-of-the-range luxury products. Only a few months ago, during the Giro d’Italia, did the Italian manufacturer release its long-awaited Super Record Wireless 12-speed road groupset. The launch of the Super Record groupset was an important moment for Campagnolo, a projection of sorts into what the company's technological future will be for groupsets for road bikes, but also for a series of new products. And the new Hyperon wheelset is another chapter in Campagnolo's new era of technology and design.

Campagnolo will be at this year’s Rouleur Live showcasing its latest releases, including its newly launched Hyperon wheelset and Super Record Wireless 12-speed road groupset that was launched earlier this year.
