These miniature cyclists are legendary. Generations of children have played with these figurines, and they are the source of some of the earliest cycling memories of several of the greatest personalities in the sport. They are the subject of Janol Apin's charming and unique book Les P'tits Velos and they made a memorable appearance in the pages of Rouleur 11.
This option is for a single, unpainted rider of the big metal version of the figurines. You receive a rouleur-shaped figurine - as opposed to a grimpeur or a sprinter. It does not come with any colouration or painting whatsoever. The figurines are about 5 centimetres in height.
"Childhood memories!Sweet perfume of holidays! Among the books, the trinkets and all kinds of souvenirs, they sit, about ten of them, on the shelves of my office."
- Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour de France
"This was our 'Tour de France of Yffiniac'. It was certainly what made me want to ride the bike."
- Bernard Hinault, French cyclist and five-time winner of the Tour de France
