Maglia Rosa Special Edition

£135.00

Herbie Sykes

Maglia Rosa Special Edition has been kindly signed by the Managing Director of the Giro d' Italia, Michele Acquarone. The first 33 orders of the book will be sent one of the versions containing a special message from Michele in addition to his signature.

The second Special Edition of Maglia Rosa is limited to 100 copies.

The project was taken on by Ludlow Bookbinders run by Paul Kidson, a fourth generation book binder. Projects include special editions of Tolkien books (navy leather with an unusual leather slip case), and squat, caramel colour leather bound issues of the Wisden Cricketers' Almanac.

Located on a green field site in Shropshire, Paul and his team bind books the old fashioned way - the special edition of Maglia Rosa required 24 separate processes to create this beautiful limited edition book. From the creation of the image rich end papers and the limitation pages (the signed pages you see at the book's preface), the crafts women and men have their own special talents so there is a good chance that almost everyone on the seven strong team has played a part in bringing this together.
