1974 Peace Race Roster - 50% off

£40.00

Wiktor Górka

"The 1974 Peace Race was dominated by the golden generation of Polish riders. Their great amateur world champion, Ryszard Szurkowski, was absent, but in his stead came Stanislaw Szozda. He won six of the 13 stages, podiumed in five more, and dominated the GC. The race featured 18 teams, including Great Britain (tenth in the team competition) and Cuba (fifth).

"In Wiktor Gラrka's posters, subject and message tended to be characterised by both graphics and text. His work is synonymous with light, sophisticated form and, above all, atmosphere. The 1974 poster is unusual in the sense that it was produced in three different coloured versions; orange, royal blue and a sumptuous violet."
Herbie Sykes, "Wyscig Pokoju", Rouleur 30

Our screenprints are limited to 150 individually numbered copies of each poster, printed on Mohawk art paper. A share of profits are to be donated to the Peace Race Museum, which works to keep the memory of the event alive.

Dimensions: 655mm x 940mm

Framing advice: As the dimensions of the posters are not of a standard size, we recommend using a bespoke framing service to properly display the Peace Race posters. To take the best possible care of these prints, it is also recommended that a non-reflective, U-V protective glass is used, along with an acid free backing board.

These posters will only be available via courier delivery, so please ensure that you will be able to take delivery of them at your given shipping address.
